Surgical Fees

Bariatric Surgery

All Bariatric surgery will be no-gap billed to your respective health fund.
There will be a facility fee that is not claimable and differs depending on the operation of choice, but it enables you to have LIFETIME bulk-billed follow up consultations.

Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy       $1750

Laparoscopic Mini-Gastric Bypass        $2750

Please note an Anaesthetic fee may apply to all the above and will need to be discussed with the Anaesthetist prior.

Self-Funding Patients
This is difficult to assess as hospital fees are variable but the self funded cost for a Gastric Sleeve, Mini Bypass or RY Bypass is approximately $18200 – 19900 depending on procedure. This includes all surgical, dietetic, anaesthetic and hospital costs. Again all surgical follow-up is bulk billed.
Medicare claims are applicable to self-funding patients for the surgical and anaesthetic costs.
